Welcome to h2hr

Susan Binnersley (MCIPD)

Susan Binnersley (MCIPD)

A chartered, multilingual business partner and former Human Resources Director, I have held several key appointments in HR and operational management. My personal philosophy of treating all individuals with dignity and respect plays a large part in the successful outcome of some very challenging situations and underpins my approach to all the work we do at h2hr.

To date, my extensive and diverse career has included work with several large multinationals alongside many senior leadership teams in both highly unionised and politically sensitive environments; playing a key role in transformational change programmes including merger, acquisition and multicultural situations. Experience in a variety of leadership roles, both within HR and direct line management, has further reinforced my passion for a “value added” commitment: identifying opportunities within our client organisations that ensure our consultant fees are self-financing and providing a tangible contribution to their bottom line.

An experienced group facilitator, performance and career coach, I am also accredited to administer and interpret a range of psychometric tests and personality questionnaires.

Helen Stephenson

I started my career at Nestle working on shifts, running a team on the shop floor where I gained an excellent understanding of both manufacturing practices and pressures. I moved cross functionally within Nestle into HR, where I progressed through a variety of generalist HR roles supporting graduate recruitment, development centres and succession planning to coordinating large scale restructuring programmes and managing an HR team. After a successful career at Nestle I moved to Sara Lee to a project based role responsible for designing and introducing management competencies and associated elements such as 360 appraisal across the business.

Helen Stephenson

I have since continued to expand my work in HR operating as a consultant for 8 years working on both an interim and project basis for a number of FMCG and blue chip clients. With over 15 years experience in HR I believe very strongly in providing support to both the management team and the individuals within an organisation.

My experience to date has spanned a number of different industry sectors from food manufacturing, aviation, furniture, retail, household and body care, software resellers to the pharmaceutical industry.

Recent experience covers a broad range of downsizing activities ranging from project planning redundancies to training senior managers in consultation and assisting affected employees through the whole process. I have experience in delivering both outplacement support for individual managers and running a range of group workshops to give individuals the confidence and knowledge to formulate their own career and job search action plans.

Feedback received to date suggests that my skills and experience enable me to influence at all levels whilst adopting a professional and caring approach operating at all times with honesty and integrity. I am experienced in coaching and delivering training and have a pragmatic, hands on approach to all people matters whilst recognising and understanding the needs and demands of an organisation.

Keeley Shaw

Keeley ShawMy first role in business was supporting an HR team in a large organisation from here I moved onto senior PA roles. I am an experienced PA having worked in a number of different sectors including the aviation sector, property investment and the Health Service before joining the business at h2hr. You are likely to come across me if you call the office as your first point of contact.

My role at h2hr involves managing all the administrative aspects of the business, from providing training material, delegate management, project coordination, organising interesting and stimulating venues for development activities to managing diaries and travel. It is extremely important to me to establish valuable working relationships with all our clients to ensure projects are managed effectively. I am told I am pivotal to keeping things running smoothly back at the office whilst our consultants spend their time out and about with clients so that everyone is supported and kept up to speed with any changing arrangements.

Some of the things I am really proud of are representing Susan and h2hr at local networking events, setting up the new office, putting in place all the procedures and the biggest achievement for me has been setting up and running a support centre for clients on their site and providing information, advice and guidance to employees.
