Change management

Learning and Development

Aim:

To implement effective workplace change across a spectrum of change scenarios including growth; acquisition; merger; rationalisation; restructuring & reorganisation.

Outputs

We can support all stages of the changes process or specific stages where additional expert support is beneficial.  We have evolved our own change management process that also highlights where we are able to add value.

Return on Investment:

As with all our work, the evaluation criteria will be defined clearly up front.  In change management we expect to see results in the following areas:-

  • Achievement against the initial drivers for change
  • Increased morale and motivation of employees through an effective engagement strategy with all stakeholders
  • Retention of key staff
  • Achievement of defined productivity levels
  • Successful and sustainable workplace and behavioural change

Examples:

Our experience of change management has strong roots from careers in industry.  We are therefore passionate about a pragmatic approach that delivers success and respects and values employees.  Our most poignant experience was the management of a restructuring programme to reduce headcount in the Scottish shipyards by a third.  This was under intense political scrutiny and pressure to ensure a strong organisation remained to deliver future commitments.

Testimonial data:

“Susan demonstrated both strong strategic focus and personal leadership qualities throughout this period including management of the Employee Relations strategy.  This included membership of a task force formed by the Scottish Executive which included two ministers from Westminster and senior trades union officials.  The outcome of this process was commended by all sides in the creation of a shipbuilding business with a ten year order book and sized accordingly”
